I visit my family in California every 3 to 4 months. Usually I fly straight home to LAX but this time around the trip started in San Francisco. It was my first time visiting SF in over two years and I fell in love with it all over again. The city seems to be a nice mashup of both LA and NYC, the best of both worlds. It might end up being home to me someday, who knows...
My siblings and I spent two days driving down from San Francisco to Orange County. It was a short and quickly planned road trip. We would all love to do it again and extend our time in the cities we visited as well as the others we had to skip over. Though it was short and sweet I urge all of you to try it out as well! Seeing California in this light makes you appreciate it in more ways than one. There's so much to explore in your own backyard.

Big Sur... the views, the air, the movement, the stillness. It was all so gorgeous and so worth the drive.
We popped by Santa Barbara and Solvang towards the end of our roadtrip. Not my favorite cities but still adorable and interesting to see.
We made it back in time to catch the sunset from my family's house in Irvine. It's the best view and it always feels so right.
Go on this road trip, you won't regret it.
